Copenhagen South Asia Workshop 2012

"Worlds of South Asia"

One day workshop – 17th Sep 2012 – 9.30-18.00

The 4th annual CSAW aims at showcasing the wide variety of worlds – social, political, cultural, financial, developmental, historical, mythical, regional and/or global assemblages – that make the idea of South Asia.

The workshop features a number of research presentations on a variety of themes as well as two keynotes on the idea of Pakistan by Dr. Faisal Devji, Oxford University and the South Asian city by Prof. Thomas Blom Hansen, Stanford University. Professor Hansen is currently Guest Professor at the Centre of Global South Asian Studies as part of the ongoing research programme 'Nation in Motion: Globalisation, Governance, Development in New India'.

The event is public. Participation is free. Registration is required.
