Call for proposals
The Asian Dynamics Initiative invites researchers at the University of Copenhagen to submit applications for financial support for Asia related initiatives, activities and projects in 2009.
ADI supports new as well as existing initiatives. Researchers at the University of Copenhagen can apply for funding of activities such as workshops, seminars or courses as well as contributions - seed money - to start off new projects. It is also possible to apply for secretariat assistance.
The fund pool consists of 300,000 dkk and will be distributed among the winning proposals in portions of up to 50,000 dkk.
The ADI Steering Group acts as the Assessment Committee. The deadline for proposal submission is 31 October 2008.
Applicants can expect to receive decisions on their application by 1 December 2008.
The project or initiative should relate to Asia. Furthermore, the Committee will give priority to projects that meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Collaboration with an Asian university
- Subject that relates to one of ADI's subthemes
- Interdisciplinarity
- Inclusion of intra-Asia relations
The application - max. 5 pages - should include:
- Description of the project
- Introduction to the subject and scientific goals
- Budget
- Expected follow up and possible publication plans
