Fellowships for overseas Japanese studies scholars to conduct research in Japan and grant programs for collaborative research and dialogue projects carried out to contribute to solving the problems confronting the world

JSPS Open Partnerships, Joint Projects and Seminars

OUTLINE

JSPS promotes international scientific exchanges between Japan and counterpart countries in accordance with agreements or memoranda of understanding concluded with partner agencies in those countries (in Denmark: Danske Universiteter).

Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science

JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

OUTLINE

The purpose of this program is to provide opportunities for young postdoctoral researchers from overseas to conduct, under the guidance of their hosts, cooperative research with leading research groups in Japanese universities.

ELIGIBILITY

Danish applications are submitted to Danske Universiteter who annually recommends two applicants to JSPS. Candidates for the fellowship must hold a doctorate degree when the fellowship goes into effect.

12-24 months

5 months prior to start of program between 1 April and 30 November

Sasakawa Peace Foundation

OUTLINE

Promoting international exchange, international cooperation, international understanding.

As projects eligible for grants begin on 1 April, the deadline is the last day of October the previous year. However applications may be submitted at any time.

Toshiba International Foundation

OUTLINE

TIFO strives to contribute to enhance international understanding of Japan by promoting cultural exchanges, including the organization and sponsorship of symposia and seminars.
