Writers Exchange, Denmark - India
As part of the India Today/Copenhagen Tomorrow project the University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University and Gyldendal Publishers are organizing are series of literature events under the title “Writers’ Exchange”.
Three Indian writers – Mridula Garg, Githa Hariharan and Manu Joseph – will visit Denmark for two weeks this autumn to do readings and lectures at the universities and Gyldendal. They will also be part of a panel where they interact with three Danish writers – Kirsten Thorup, Astrid Saalbach and Carsten Jensen – who in return will visit the Jaipur Literature Festival in India in January 2013.
The programmes for the activities in Copenhagen on 24 September (Gyldendal) and 3 October (UCPH) are in place. Activities in Aarhus are tentatively scheduled for 26-27 September. More information will follow in due course.

India Today/Copenhagen Tomorrow
India Today/Copenhagen Tomorrow is a Danish/Indian project initiated by the Danish Holck-Larsen Foundation. The foundation was established by Henning Holck-Larsen, co-founder of the Indian company Larsen & Toubro in India.
The purpose of the project is to link the people of India and Denmark by promoting the exchange of culture, science and trade between the two countries. India Today/Copenhagen Tomorrow includes contemporary art exhibitions, film festivals, music, dance and literature events, as well as conferences and academic lectures.
