MoU between Delhi University and University of Copenhagen

The University of Delhi and the University of Copenhagen have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic linkages and co-operation between the two institutions.

Besides creating a framework to support and develop collaboration and academic engagement in any discipline or research area mutually agreed upon, the MoU sets out opportunities for exchange of faculty and students.

The University of Delhi is one of the most prestigious universities in India, renowned for its high standards in research and education. The university currently consists of 16 faculties and 86 academic departments distributed across its North and South campuses making it one of the largest universities in India. It has 77 affiliated colleges and 5 other recognized institutes with an enrollment of over 132,000 regular students and 261,000 students in non-formal education programmes.

Up till now collaboration between the University of Delhi (DU) and the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) has mainly consisted of

  • research between individual scholars
  • semester abroad at DU for students of Modern India and South Asian Studies, UCPH
