Dissertation Workshop: Ethnography of Connections
Department of Cross Cultural and Regional Studies, University of Copenhagen 26-27 April 2018
Organized by Dr. Ravinder Kaur
The workshop critically addresses a number of questions related to the study of connections in a world forever on the move. As scholarly attention increasingly shifts to themes of commodification, supply chains, capital investments, extractive economies, transnational assemblages, labor movement and global policy regimes of a variety, fieldwork requires following networks that sometimes connect unlikely places and actors together. This two-day workshop will rethink theory and methods required to study global connections.
