Riots and Elections in India
Professor Dipak Malik will visit Copenhagen on 12 May to give an open lecture on India's national elections. The talk will consist of certain features of the ongoing general elections in India as well as the underlying political processes.
Professor Malik is Director of the Gandhian Institute of Studies, Rajghat, Varanasi and Professor at the Department of Commerce, Banaras Hindu University. His research revolves around Indian diaspora, labour relations and labour history as well as the study of politics and sociology of Indian communalism.
The lecture in Copenhagen is organized by ADI and NIAS and is part of a guest lecture tour that also brings Dipak Malik to the universities of Lund, Gothenburg and Karlstad.
