Isabelle Sancho earned her Ph.D. from INALCO (2006), completed a postdoc at the Korea Institute of Harvard University, and worked as a research assitant for the Chair of Chinese Intellectual History of the Collège de France. She is a tenured researcher at the CNRS since 2009 and the Director of the Centre of Korean Studies of the EHESS since fall 2013. In 2011, she published an annotated translation of Yulgok's Kyŏngmong yogyŏl at Les Belles Lettres. She is currently preparing an English translation of the Complete Works of Hwadam Sŏ Kyŏngdŏk to be published at the University of Hawai'i Press and a book manuscript on Yulgok Yi I.
