Law and Transitional Society: Chinese and Global Perspective
As an emerging global power the Chinese legal system has been the object of growing interest throughout the past three decades, resulting at times in new, hybrid forms of laws and legal institutions, but also triggering continuing struggles.
This conference wishes to explore how the Chinese legal system responds to social transition. It also aims at figuring out what role China plays in the global legal environment.
The speakers will concentrate on human rights and public law in a broad sense.
