DIIS/NIAS invites to a seminar with David Ludden on Nepal and Bangladesh
The Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS) and NIAS - Nordic Institute of Asian Studies are organizing a seminar with David Ludden on: Inequality and Development Regimes: The Contrasting Cases of Nepal and Bangladesh.
Prof. Ludden received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1978 and was Professor of History there from 1999-2008. His research concentrates on South Asia and on histories of development in very long-term perspective, focusing on economic development, agrarian conditions, health environments, empire, inequality, and social conflict.
