Transport from Airport

Hotel Danmark is located close to Copenhagen Central Station (København H). You can take the S-train from the airport to the Central Station. From there it's just a 10 minutes' walk to the hotel (map).

Public transport - How to buy a ticket

In the arrival hall of the airport's terminal 3 you will find ticket vending machines. From airport to city centre you travel through three zones.

There is an “English”-button on the vending machine.
For a single ticket: choose “Ticket”, then “Adult” and then “3 zones”. Then you need to “pay and print” and the ticket is yours. You can now enter the train or metro.

A single ride ticket from Copenhagen Airport to the city centre (3 zones) costs DKK 36.

Taxi from Airport to Hotel/City centre

DKK 250-300 depending on the traffic. 20-30 minutes.
Normally you can pay with Visa/Master Card etc (inform the driver when you enter the taxi).

 Getting Around

From Hotel Danmark it's a nice 25 minutes' walk to the symposium venue.

Another option is to share a taxi. From hotel to venue it will cost approx DKK 100, almost the same price as public transport if you are 4 people.

You can off course also go by bus. No. 12 and no. 33 run from the City Hall Square to the venue in Njalsgade (map). A single ride ticket (2 zones) costs
DKK 24.

Tickets for all public transportation in Copenhagen can be purchased from the ticket machines located in stations, including the airport. In busses single tickets can be bought from the driver.

City Zone Map
Common for busses, S-trains and metro is that the City Zone Map applies. This means that whenever you cross a zone border it counts as an extra zone. This also means that with a "2- zone"-ticket, you can only cross one zone border, as your starting zone counts as well.

Please also note that you can travel freely back and forth within an hour on a 2-zones ticket. A 2-zones ticket enables travel within the centre of Copenhagen and the close vicinities (red and blue area on the map below).

S-train
Most trains leave every ten minutes in daytime hours.
Journey Planner – Nation-wide planner covering all public transport (in English).

Metro
The metro leaves every two to four minutes during daytime hours, in the evening every three to six minutes and during night hours every fifteen to twenty minutes.
