Centre of Global South Asian Studies has the great pleasure of inviting you to the first seminar of the Spring 2022 semester

On 21st February, we mark International Mother Language Day with a talk and discussion on the significance of the mother language. Under the aegis of UNESCO since 2000, International Mother Language Day has celebrated languages and linguistic diversity across the world. In 2022, the theme is “Using technology for multilingual learning: Challenges and opportunities” which addresses how technology can be harnessed to promote learning for all.

H.E. Mr M. Allama Siddiki, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark will open the discussion with his remarks.

Bio: Mr M. Allama Siddiki is currently the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark. He has held a number of diplomatic posts at home and abroad including as Ambassador of Bangladesh to Turkey, Director-General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka, Deputy High Commissioner at London and Islamabad, and First Secretary, Kolkata and Tokyo.
