2023 Spring Call for ADI Funding

The Asian Dynamics Initiative invites researchers employed at the University of Copenhagen to submit applications for financial support up to DKK 20 000 for projects and activities with a broad research focus on Asia.

We encourage proposals which address interdisciplinary and/or comparative themes across Asia including West Asia as well as Asia-Europe interconnections. Priority will be given to projects that (a) explore fresh collaborative research ideas and initiatives, and (b) engage with policy challenges.

We invite proposals for

• Workshops, seminars, lecture series and conferences to be held at UCPH
• Fieldwork travel support for early career scholars

ADI does not fund salary or salary replacement (frikøb) to buy out teaching responsibilities, activities that have already taken place, nor open access publication.

The application should include

• Description of activity and aim (max. 450 words)
• Expected follow-up and possible outcome
• Budget

All successful projects will be expected to submit either a fieldwork report, short analysis, or a policy brief that can be published on the ADI website.

All expenses must be settled by the end of 2023.
