New interdisciplinary Danida research project
Professor Tine Gammeltoft, Dept of Anthropology, has received funding from Danida for an interdisciplinary research project focusing on patients with diabetes in Vietnam.
15 million people worldwide between the age of 30 and 69 die of non-contagious diseases such as cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases each year. Over 80% of the deaths occur in low and middle income countries.
Professor Tine Gammeltoft has received a grant of DKK five million from Danida to fund her research project that will take a closer look at the role of the informal healthcare system concerning patients with diabetes in Vietnam.
The project runs until 2021.
