Asia brown bag lecture: Stine Puri and Lars Højer

NIAS and ADI invite you to a brown bag lecture by Stine Puri and Lars Højer, Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies, who will present the research project:

Escalations: A Comparative Ethnographic Study of Accelerating Change

As part of the project Lars and Stine are working on individual sub-projects.

Stine's project Monsoonal Escalations in India and Beyond explores escalations at the interface between agriculture, climate and finance in relation to the monsoon in India. 

Lars' project Mining frenzy and escalating economies in Mongolia explores how the imaginings of a future mining project in Mongolia becomes an imagined and 'spectacular' reference point that intensifies and escalates present actions and imaginations.
