The New International Economic Order seen from Japan

Public talk by Professor Fukunari Kimura

Moderated by Professor Jakob Roland Munch.

Although the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) was regarded as one of the essential pillars of economic reform under the Abe Administration, the so-called Abenomics, the walkout by the US from TPP forces Japan to readjust its international commercial policies.

The Japan-EU Economic Partnership Agreement formed in July 2017 may become a key element in a new international economic order. Professor Kimura will share his views on the agreement and also touch upon the impact of Brexit on further negotiations and future Japan-EU relations.
