China Talks: Professor David Zweig

Staying in Power: Why the Communist Party of China Will Continue to Rule
Having led the People's Republic of CHina for 65 years, the Communist Party remains the country's unchallenged political authority. But why is it so successful at maintaining power, and why is it likely to continue leading the world's most significant rising power in the decades to come?

A renowned scholar of Chinese politics, Professor David Zweig is the Director of the Center on Environment, Energy and Resource Policy at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His presentation at the University of Copenhagen will explore the above questions and also pick up on the Xi Jinping-led administrations's political agenda.
