Global Citizenship Education Network

Global Citizenship Education is a 3 day workshop at University of Copenhagen from 3-5 September with participants from Japan, China and Denmark.

It is the first in a series of workshops funded by the International Network Program, Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education International Network Program.

3 September 2018

10.00   Welcome by Head of the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies Ingolf Thuesen and Marie Højlund Roesgaard.

10.30   Key note address followed by Q&A:  Learning to know, to do, to be and to live together – Reflexions on Global Citizenship Education from past to future
By Associate Professor, Karen Bjerg Petersen, Danish School of Education, Aarhus University, Denmark.

11.30   The Japanese point of view –  Professor Takaaki Fujiwara, Doshisha Women’s College of Liberal Arts, Department of Childhood Studies.

12.00   Lunch

13.30   Roundtable, presentation of individual interests in the network, background of participants etc. about 20 minutes for each.

15.00    Coffee break

15.30    Continued roundtable and round off

 18.00   Dinner at Høst, Nørre Farimagsgade 41

9.00   Meet at Randersgade School. Ms. Rikke Villumsen will meet us and explain about the GCE activities at the school.

10.00   Sit in on an English class, 8.grade (中学2年), Ms Rikke Villumsen teaches.                         

12.00   Lunch and move to Rysensteen

14.00   Rysensteen High School (http://rysensteen.dk/en/welcome ), Anders Schultz will receive us and tell us about the GCE activities at his high school.

18.00   Dinner at Ricemarket, Hausergade 38 (http://www.ricemarket.dk/ )

9.30   South Campus (room 10.4.05) Debriefing about school visits, please all prepare a few minutes about your impressions. Discuss strategy from now on, ideas and what to do until the next workshop in Tokyo. Decide time for the Tokyo and Beijing workshop.
